Food Safety

Employing mass awareness campaigns to propagate food safety protocols and foster a culture of health consciousness aligned with Indian heritage.

This was initially one of the breakthroughs to reach people with the concern of touching their lives. We at Daksh care for plant, animal, and people so in the journey food impacts people the most as the state of our mind depends on the food we eat. It is said in Hindi that, "Jaisa Ann, Waisa maan" That means, "So as the food, is the state of mind".

Varanasi Initiative & Awareness

The first initiative of Food safety began in Varanasi employing IEC approach to build upon traditional practices. We reached to the general public, school children and so forth through various means of personal interaction, conferences, street plays, documentaries etc. This has created awareness towards the use of portable water in cooking to washing hands.

Maha Kumbh Festival Campaign

We had also propagated food safety protocols to foster a culture of health consciousness that is aligned with Indian heritage and lifestyle. The success of our Varanasi campaign has further taken this approach to the larger audience coming from different parts of the nation and also abroad for attending the world's largest congregation of human in Earlier Allahabad now Prayagraj that is in the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh (The Maha Kumbh Festival).

It was then 2013 a maha Kumbh mela which comes around only once every 144 years and lasts for 55 days, where 100 million pilgrims attend this holy ceremony. We have successfully spread the word of food safety and its importance to the food business operators, the roadside vendors to large food grain businessmen through various means of interaction in presence of the Officials of State and central Government. It was taken very positively and effectively by the stakeholders on various levels, and was very well appreciated by the esteemed food Safety and Standard Authority of India.

We at Daksh still carry the message of food safety and its importance through various means amongst different levels even after a decade of the beginning of our journey.
